La fuente de los Caños de San Francisco

The source of the Caños de San Francisco is located in the Asturian town of Avilés. Located next to the Ferrera Palace and the church of San Nicolás de Bari within the Historical-Artistic complex, it is a 17th century civil work. The fountain is formed by a frontal from which emerge six human heads whose mouth emanates water by means of a pipe, which give a rectangular pylon at the ends and oval in the center. On the front, above the heads, there are three heraldic shields. To each of the sides two shields of Avilés, above each one of a head, and in the center the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Castile.
