This building, designed by Enrique Rodríguez Bustelo (1885-1983), is a leading example of regional architecture in Asturias. It was built in 1918 for the Sociedad de Fomento de Gijón, in charge of the management of the docks and docks of the port, although its first occupant was the Industrial Mining Bank. The design of Rodríguez Bustelo responds to the model of detached family house surrounded by a garden, in imitation of the Renaissance Castilian palaces. The classicist inspiration of its ornamentation can be seen in the capitals, the arches and the pinnacles of the roof. Double staircase in the access door.
