Medieval hermitage of Santa Coloma in Albendiego

The hermitage of Santa Coloma located in the Guadalajara region of Spain is one of the jewels of Spanish Romanesque art. Built possibly in the XII century after the Christian conquest of this territory, its most valuable element is its apse. The windows are decorated with beautiful latticework carved in stone. The hermitage was reformed and enlarged in the XV century. We want to thank the Diocesan Delegation of Cultural Heritage of Guadalajara, especially its cultural delegate Mr. Miguel Ángel Ortega Canales, for the facilities they have given us and for the interest they have shown in the project.
